Hi All,
I have 11 lines I'm looking to move from EE to 1pMobile, to refrain from tying into a minimum term. Our mobiles are fine for now, but they may need to be replaced within the next 12-24 months - at which point we'll come back to EE.
Our contract ends on 10.07.2024.
What is the best way to time the use of the PAC code to avoid an overlap in paying for services?
Am I correct in saying having the port carried out by 1pMobile on/after 10.07.2024 will result in no early termination charge, as well as a refund for any remaining line rental that's been charged for 11.07.2024 - 10.08.2024?
Also, I assume there would be no need to call and actually give 30 days notice as we'd be porting out.
Thanks 🙂

Once you are outside of your minimum term, you could move to a 30day SIM-only. Or choose a 12 or 24month SIM-only for which the minimum term only applies to being with EE, not being on that plan - you can upgrade back to a phone-plan at any time.
You are correct to believe that usage of a PAC is in lieu of giving disconnection notice.

Great, thanks. So if I port out on 11.07.2024 (for example), we'd be charged (approx £200) on the next months rental, then having only used 1 day, be refunded the difference?

Depending on billing dates then yes, you may get charged then have to wait a month for the refund, but as long as they are out of the minimum term, you pay up to the date the PAC is used.
I would not recommend doing 11 transfers on the same day, if there's an issue you could have a problem with them all, but that's up to you!
For 11 numbers, have you discussed it with EE though, see what they might be able to suggest to keep you?

Yes, it's been discussed. All options point to a minimum term being agreed to.
1pMobile is £8.33 + VAT for 25GB per line - so to tide us over for now, is a no-brainer.

You don't need to give notice when you are porting via PACs but you will need to call CS to get the PACs as you can't get PACs by texts on a multi-no. a/c.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
