Ordering a new SIM

I’m looking to order a new SIM to change my phone number, when I do this.. it’s asking me for a phone number and a £10 charge.

If I specify a phone number, this is merely just for verification right?

Also, what would happen to the £10 charge? Would it be attached to the sim as in, when I start it it would be topped up, or is it just to deliver the SIM itself?

Is this for a PAYG SIM? If so, this £10 will be the top-up to buy the 1st 30-day pack of allowances. You will later need to top-up for the pack to recur. There is no charge for delivery.

The phone no. is just in case they need to contact you.
