Old number purchase

Bit of a long shot but basically I have an old Gmail account which i can't for the life of me remember the password of, there are old photos on my google drive I would like to recover. Is there a way to buy the number that is linked to the 2fa as its my old number and 14 year old me didn't think to change it. I've called the number and it doesn't seem to be active, if i remember it was an orange number starts in 07969- I know the rest but not going to put it here lol 😃

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you have a current EE pay monthly contract SIM, you can contact our customer service guides to see if they can change the number, if your old number is available on the network.

The team can search by up to four of the final digits of the number to see if it is there, and if it is there would be a charge of £86.81.

You'd not be request a specific number on pay as you go, or just purchase the number without a contract SIM.

There is a chance that the number is no longer with our network.
