Old number not transferred properly

I got my new sim and sent the pac code across and my old number has been transferred. I've restarted my phone as instructed and when I check the number for my phone its my old number which is what I want it to be. People can contact me using my number but when I try to contact them it comes up as the number that was supplied with the SIM card instead of the number that should have been transferred. Why???

Hey there @Sam19932.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

If you have an iPhone, as well as looking at the options @Schockwave mentioned, I'd recommend going to Settings > Apps > Phone > My Number and checking to make sure this is showing the one you want to keep.

If it's still showing the temporary number, it should allow you to amend this to the correct one.

Is this affecting... outbound voice calls? Text messages that you send?

@Sam19932 , when did you transfer to EEE from your previous network, as nothing happens over the weekend? It may all do so by this evening, otherwise you may have to contact customer service.

Are you an IPhone user? I would suggest switching IMessage and FaceTime off reboot and then see if the number comes up correctly and then switching IMessage and FaceTime back on again.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Both, even though my number has transferred properly it still shows up on the receiving phone as the sim cards original number.

Beginning of last week. The number has been transfered and works. It just shows the wrong number when I ring or text someone. I'll ring customer services.
