Number transfer

I’ve moved to EE and have moved my number over. My old O2 number stopped working a couple of hours ago but it still hasn’t activated on EE yet. Is there anything I need to do?

Port-ins are normally complete by the end of the working day but can sometimes take into the evening. Have you received the text message notification of "port-in complete" yet?

Thanks for your response. I’ve had no messages at all yet.

Hi @Blackas

Thanks for coming to the community.

Has your number now transferred to your EE SIM card?

If not, have you restarted the device? If you make a call or send a text does the number show as the temporary EE number?

Speak to you soon.

Leanne 🙂

Hi Leanne, still not working.

i received the initial text from EE:

”Thanks, the port in is all set up and will take place by 6pm on 20-12-2024

Please don’t send this PAC request again before the above date and time as it could result in a delay”

I’ve not heard anything since. I’ve turned my phone of several times and I’m currently left uncontactable by phone which is totally unacceptable

Hi @Blackas

Thanks for coming back to me.

Do you have signal showing? Which phone are you using?

What happens when you try and make a call?

Leanne 🙂

Nope, no signal.

When I try to make a call it just say "Youy've dialled an incorrect number"

Obviously, I can't receive calls either. When I try to call my number from another phone it goes straight to the EE voicemail

My phone is an iPhone 15

Thanks @Blackas

If you have not done so already, could you try going into the iPhone Settings, then General, Transfer or Reset iPhone then Reset Network Settings. This will reset the iPhone and remove any saved WiFi Passwords.

Do you have signal showing after trying this? If not, do you have a physical SIM or an eSIM?

Thanks very much.

Leanne.

Still not working.

It's a physical sim

Thanks, @Blackas

Was the SIM card working before with the temporary EE number (the one you're given before the number transfer goes through)? If you're using a phone that was bought from another provider, could you check that it's unlocked for all networks please?
