Non-EE SIM into EE contracted phone

Hi,

I have an EE phone contract.

I want to do the following :

1 - remove the SIM from my existing EE Google handset and place it into a new handset I have purchased.

2- Use my soon to be old EE Google phone with a new,non-EE SIM

My questions are - will this work with no issues and/or is the Google phone linked to EE?

Hi @votfosq

Just as @XRaySpeX mentioned, it will work if the devices are unlocked for use with any network.

If you find your EE handset is locked to EE, It's free and easy to unlock online, just use the online unlock form at Unlock EE Devices

Most devices we've sold from July 2021 are no longer locked to EE, so it's worth checking to see if your device is locked to our network first. Just pop any other network SIM into the device.

It all should work providing both phones are unlocked which they should be if bought new after Dec '21.
