New Sim,

Good afternoon everyone!

brand new to EE.

had issues with my last provider for signal.data and all sorts. So they suggested I take my pac code and move… 🙄

ordered myself a pay monthly sim only deal with EE. Received my SIM card today. Very quickly I may add!!!! 24 hours from order to home!!

do I just slot the sim into my phone and wait? There wasn’t any paperwork to say.. scan this.. do this.. text.. wait.. tadahhh

at home its ok. As I’m on Wi-Fi if I am needed by anyone for emergency. how long would it take to be fully set and my number across??

You will need to speak with our account and billing team. 

Have you been able to test call the EE number you have been given?

Your number port wont be completed yet but you can use the temporary number provided until your port completes.

I’ve not been able to test call. As I’ve not needed to call anyone. But I can send texts & iMessage ( over Wi-Fi). By the looks of it I get lovely signal but just no actual mobile data connection.

I’ve used the sim to call and be called, all work fine, I can send and receive text messages.  I am still with the provided number which in itself isn’t a big deal. But I am really struggling without any mobile data, I’ve had my phone off, reset the settings, turned mobile data off and back on, reset all network settings

Gotten home, and connected to Wi-Fi and all my notifications have come through.  
to add insult to injury, I had a text telling me my first bill will be 24/02/23.

which, in all honesty, has really angered me. As I’m going to be paying for something which is actually worse than the original provider. 

called the number which you suggested Katie, to be sent a text, and had to provide a text to explain what the problem is. So now waiting on that call back, while silently getting angry and frustrated.

Praise the actual human that answered the phone to me and talked me down from a breakdown.    

After trying everything… it was the configuration network profiles that were the problem.. and as soon as they were deleted.. my phone lit up!!

absolutely wonderful work from the team that have helped me!!!!

 

and my number will change on Monday. 😂😂😂😂
