New Sim, Can't activate

Hello! I wanted to swap to EE from anothernetwork. I know I need to get an EE number before I can port over my old number. However, I popped the new sim in that I got at the shop and I can't activate it.

I see the EE symbol in the corner of my phone but nothing happened.

I can't top up without my new number and the only help online says "it just works when you see the EE symbol"

How do I activate this new sim?

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

It sounds like your SIM is already activated if it has connected to the EE network.

You'll just need to top up and purchase a pack to use it, if you didn't do this at the store.

Your phone number will be printed on the SIM card packaging.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue, but am connected to wifi but can't receive calls/ texts or make calls/texts or have mobile data. It is infuriating being to activate the new sim with the old sim as I lost my old sim. I cannot call the EE number because my phone doesn't let me call. Please can you help?
