New PAYG Sim in old phone, not working

I put a new payg sim in my old phone (iPhone 6) so my son can use it. At first the sim was recognized and i managed to top up £10. Now it says no sim. Help!

@Bayowulph  try taking the Sim card out and putting it back in.
