Do you know how long porting takes? As I’m in the same situation moving to EE. I shared my PAC code 7 days ago but my number is still live with my previous supplier. Do I just use my new sim to activate the move?

Post moved to a new thread.
Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.
A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.
Your issue now, will be your PAC is treated as submitted on the next available working day - 23/12. Port-in will be likely set for 24/12. The vast majority of port-ins are successful, but be aware of the risk of issues over Christmas if not.

@Ellis2024 : Yes, you need to use your EE SIM before the no. can port. It will then port within 1 working day of you activating your EE SIM on the EE network.

Hi, I have the same problem. I installed my EE SIM and entered the PAC code as requested on 19/12/24. I then got a SMS (from 150) saying "Well transfer your number by 6pm on {D/M}". That's not very helpful. I have 2FA setup on my bank account and others whereby an SMS OTP is sent to me to login. Consequently I am locked out of my accounts since I cannot receive an OTP. Any idea how long it will take to complete my mobile phone number transfer?

It seems my current provider won’t let me go until the last day of my contract, so that’s the delay for me. As called customer services and have a call back booked for that day, so they can process it.
