I set up a new contract and handset plan with EE, via the BT call centre. They said porting would be automatic. I’ve had my new phone for 48 hours and my old number hasn’t been transferred. I’ve tried entering the PAC code in my EE myself, but not recognised. I cannot cope with having a new phone number, I need to keep the old one. I’m ready to send my phone back and cancel my contract if not sorted. I used live chat and advised transfer would happen automatically within 48 hours. I’ve restarted my phone numerous times. Nada.

I went on live chat. Said another 24-48 hours!!! I’m not convinced it will ever happen.
