Hi, joined the forum to see if I can get a pre-holiday question answered…
I have an IPhone 15 with ESIM functionality. I currently have a physical SIM inserted. I have an EE mobile WIFI device however which id like to use as a router for devices to connect to in the holiday apartment. To my mind this is a better alternative to using my IPhone as the hotspot.
Can I therefore put my contract SIM into the MIFI for family members to connect to AND use my phone as normal gives it’s ESIM functionality?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@R1CHEE if you put your Sim card into a different device, then your phone has no network connection. You can’t put the information from your Sim card onto the eSIM and then use the physical sim in a different device because you can only have one Sim card whether that be a physical Sim or eSIM with your phone number on it.. the eSim is to replace the use of a physical sim so you can have 2 or more phone numbers on your device.
So basically no that’s not possible.
