Lost my old phone and I want to activate my eSIM on my new phone

I have lost my phone in Italy yesturday and bought a new one just now.

I have been trying to activate my eSIM but the last step requires me to enter a pin number which is sent to my phone number which I do not have access right now.

I really do need the SIM activated because I got 7days left with my holiday.

Is there any way for me to receive the PIN number via email?

Hi @sungjoo

Thanks for coming to the community, I am sorry you have lost the phone.

To activate a new SIM/eSIM you would need the one time pin code. If the SIM has been lost you would need to call us and get the SIM blocked and the team will look into the available options for the replacement.

Leanne.

Sounds like you haven't reported the loss to EE.

You need to call CS to report the loss & they will block it & send you a replacement SIM with the same no. to your UK addy.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thank you for your reply, but I think you are getting the point wrong.

I need the eSIM activated here in Italy where I do not have access to the SMS coming to my UK number right now. Therefore I am seeking for any other methods where in which I can activate my eSIM

Well, if you haven't reported it there's no way you'll get your original no. back anywhere.

I think you'll struggle to get any new SIM activated abroad, especially an electronic one

Sooner or later you're likely to hit the problem of UK-despatch, UK-activation or needing your existing SIM working.

The problems is that I cannot call you guys because I do not have any SIM activated

+44 7953 966150 can be called from any working phone

+44 800 9566000 can be called via Skype on any internet connection.

Still think you'll struggle to activate a new SIM outside the UK, but I wish you luck.
