Left EE but phone was on call forwarding

Wonder if anyone can help, I’ve just left EE and had my phone on call forwarding to new phone number/provider.  I am taking my number with me and am told the switch has happened but not receiving texts or calls on my new phone.

once the sim is deactivated do I need to worry that my phone is still on divert to a number that doesn’t now exist ? The new provider says wait 24hrs and I can’t call EE as I don’t have a live number with them.

thanks

Once your EE no. has ceased any diverts on it no longer operate.

Try calling CS on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2 > option 4) . That won't ask for an EE mobile no.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks - so that might not be the reason I’m not getting calls then.  I was panicking that as I’d left it on I’d be just going round in circles as number as diverted to one that no longer exists.  I’ll see what tomorrow brings.
