Keeping a number

I'm leaving the UK for 4 months, will I be able to keep this number without using it during this time?

@JoC7925 : I presume this is a PAYG no,

EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely. So, yes, as long as you had made some chargeable action within the previous 2 months before your 4 months trip.
