@Chez7762   Did you upgrade or just take a new contract?   Or are you on PAYG ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I've done all the necessary things like PAC code .. how long does it take for your old number to switch?

Hi @Fazzy1,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

If you transfer was started before 5:30pm, it will take one working day. If after 5:30pm, please allow two working days.

Hope this helps.

In your first post you mentioned "been with EE years", and in your later reply alluded to PAC.

PACs are for porting between networks not within them - if you're an existing EE customer getting a new phone, then you have no use for a PAC.

Sound like you got a new line? Did you see 10% off for additional lines and select that option, instead of Upgrade...

If so, waste no time and go to Help cancelling a mobile phone contract within 14 days | EE

But check the SIM card carrier, it should have the number on it, if it is not your number, 👆

@bristolian : 2 diff peeps?

Did you do an upgrade to get your new phone? That's how you get to keep your no. If not, you just got a new separate contract.

EE won't port nos between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
