Keep SIM card active while waiting for port?

Hi,

I received my new EE SIM card yesterday.
I’m porting my number over from Vodafone, which is currently on a esim on my iPhone.

I put my EE sim into my physical SIM card slot, and still have my Vodafone eSIM active, thinking that the eSIM will stop working, and my number will move over to my physical ee sim?

Its been 24 hours since I put my EE sim into my phone and still no number port, should I have these both active at the same time, or should I remove the EE sim until the Vodafone one stops working?

Thanks

When you first activate your EE SIM, your PAC is then submitted.

Port-in should occur the following working day, this will serve to cancel the SIM which currently holds the number you're porting in.

So no harm in having them both active at the same time?

@StuMcBill1  You need both active at the same time.   The EE sim has to receive the information and in order to do that it needs to be connected to the network.   It will have a temporary number at present but this will change over and the Voda eSIM will stop working.
