Hi All
Took a sim only deal last Thursday (11 Dec). I provided my pac code and got the email with the plan details straight away but heard nothing since. Do I just wait for the sim and the. take it from there.
Still able to utilise Sky mobile data.
Thanks

Thanks for the extra info @Eurosceptiv
Can I just check, are calls and texts working with the correct number? Is it just the number in the settings that is showing incorrectly?

Hi
Calls and texts are going to the incorrect number, (The one linked to the sim, not my ported number) Calls to my number are going straight to voicemail,
The guy in the store definitely programmed the new sim with the pac code to port my number over from Sky mobile)
Thanks

The PAC is submitted at network-level to allow the necessary network routing & data changes to take place. It's not programmed into the SIM as such - the SIM just reflects your account details.
If calls & texts are routing incorrectly, then it's likely the port-in isn't complete. You should contact EE-CS on 150, they have access to your individual account and can advise further.

Thanks. I just meant the guy used the pac code (previously sent to me by Sky) as part of the process in the store on Sunday. Said everything would be good by yesterday. Here we are today….
Will ring them as advised.
Take care

Number ports are not handled on weekends or bank holidays. If your PAC was taken on Sunday 21st it should have been submitted Monday 22nd, for port-in on Tuesday 23rd.
You may potentially have what's known as a "split port" where some aspects of your service (outgoing caller-ID, incoming calls, outgoing text CLI etc), are ported, others aren't.
CS have a process for this.

Thanks again. Perhaps you could clarify another aspect of the process which confused me. When I put sim into my phone, a message appeared asking if I wanted to add xxx. Xxxx being the sim no. I said no to this, at which point the message confirmed my old number would be used in contacts etc. I took confidence from this. Did I do the right thing?
Finally the new account for this sim only deal is being added to my wife’s existing account. (Contract for phone and sim) Assume that doesn’t muddy the waters?
Thanks again

The account issue is immaterial - you're porting at individual line level, billing is separate.
No idea on the pop-up message, but no amount of phone settings will have any effect on a network-level porting process.

Sorry for long delay in responding. My number was finally ported across today. (Not 23 Dec as promised)
The only glitch now is that I can’t link my number to the EE account I created. (It’s probably connected to my sim being added to er indoors’s existing account- she’ll pay bill and I’ll reimburse etc.
You get to final screen where you confirm you’re the account holder and bill payer for the sim, and then get “details don’t full match those on billing account”.. Wife advises the number has just been added to herEE account, with a request to sync to all devices, but she’s reluctant to do that. Is that step necessary to allow me to add the sim to my account?
Will my sim only ever show up in her EE account with her credentials etc?
Belated happy Christmas.
At the moment, I can’t see any services in the app, data usage etc.

Hi @Eurosceptiv
Happy belated Christmas to you too!
I'm really pleased to hear that your number has ported over now as expected, and I'm sorry there was a delay with this.
When setting up as the main account holder online, the information must match with the main account holder's details, which is why your wife will see the details through her online account. You will be able to set up an online account as a user, be able to see allowances and details of your plan.
If you face any issues doing this, our team will be able to help you both.

Thanks. I just don’t see how I can set up “an online account as a user”… without hitting this mismatch problem. Do you know what steps I need to take to achieve this
Thanks again.
