Hi All

Took a sim only deal last Thursday (11 Dec). I provided my pac code and got the email with the plan details straight away but heard nothing since. Do I just wait for the sim and the. take it from there.

Still able to utilise Sky mobile data.

Thanks

Yes, @Eurosceptiv , you wait to receive your EE SIM, put it in your device & activate on the EE network. Then your no. will be ported within 1 working day.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

Hi

Resurrecting this as still haven’t had my sim. Got the confirmation email on 11 Dec but nothing as of 19 Dec.

Should I ring to chase this now?

Thanks

Realistically you have 3 choices here.

1: Assume the SIM is in the Christmas post somewhere and will be delivered in time - second-class post is the usual

2: Regard the SIM as lost, and contact CS to block it and arrange a replacement to be sent - second-class post so no guarantees before Christmas now. The second-class deadline has been & gone.

3: As above, but attend an EE retail store with photographic ID and get a replacement face-to-face.

Your PAC is held in a pending state for 30days from when it was first supplied.

Thanks. Have booked an appointment at nearby store.

Hi Chris

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, yes is the answer. Collected my sim in store, activated and all good to go. The number and contract has been added to my wife’s account, so she’ll pay bill. I’ll reimburse her etc. Was told to wait until today before  trying new sim.

Problem is the new number (not my old one) is still showing in settings. (Had previously provided pac code etc)  Have tried restarting phone but no cigar.

There was a message during start up asking me if I wanted to add xxxxxx. I said no as this was the number attached to sim, not my ported number. Thought this was ok as system confirmed my existing number would be added to settings etc.

Other thing I’ve noticed is I can’t link my old number to the account in the app. Keeps getting stuck at 50%. Guess it’s part of same problem?

Can you help?

Thanks

Hi again

Still experiencing problems with new sim. Number in settings isn’t the number I wanted ported. However, that number and the one linked to the new sim are shown in contacts.

Have responded to one of mods (Chris). Hopefully, he can assist.

Thznks

To add: although the wrong number is shown in settings, my contacts list the two numbers. (The one I want to port and the one linked to the sim) My old number is also listed in WhatsApp settings.

Really confusing.
