I'm in Korea trying to activate a local network ESIM (pixel 7a)
However it keeps saying to scan the QR code from EE, but it's not from EE it's from KT.
I can't figure out if this should work or if I need to do something differently
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Are you trying to scan this from an EE app or by another means?
Perhaps try opening your camera direct (as if you are taking a photo) and try scanning the QR code.

Hi @ABC42
Thanks for coming here.
Have you tried following the steps in the How to use dual SIMs on your Google Pixel phone - Pixel phone Help?

Sure, the options are a bit different but I've tried that. When I click download eSIM I get this. I'm not trying to enable a EE eSIM.

I even disabled the EE sim (physical) but it still won't let me use a different network eSIM.

Thanks @ABC42
Are you able to try a SIM card in the phone instead of the eSIM to this works?
Leanne.

No, I only have an eSIM for this other network. Maybe I can try remove my EE SIM.. but that really shouldn't be necessary.

Have you tried scanning the QR code you have? @ABC42
Or select, get help to see if you can try adding the code?
Leanne.

Yes that doesn't work.
Also the aim slot thing seems stuck so I can't get my physical SIM card out, guess I'm out of luck.

I am very sorry we could not resolve this for you @ABC42
If you are able to remove the SIM, please let me know how you get on.
Leanne.
