Hello, I want to clarify that I understand the technical requirements for activating an EE eSIM.
While I am currently abroad in France and not physically in the UK, I do have a reliable internet connection via satellite or personal hotspot.
Activating an eSIM requires only an internet connection to download the eSIM profile; it does not require being connected to the EE mobile network at the time of activation.
The phone’s cellular connection to EE’s network happens after the eSIM profile is installed.
Therefore, my location outside the UK or lack of EE mobile signal at the moment should not prevent the activation process.
I kindly ask you to escalate my case and push the eSIM profile directly to my My EE app or provide the activation details, so I can activate it remotely.
Without this support, I cannot use my phone, which is causing significant disruption.
I appreciate your understanding and assistance.
When you’re in France using your EE SIM, your phone connects to EE’s partner networks for roaming. Here are the main French networks EE uses:
• Orange France
• SFR (Société Française du Radiotéléphone)
• Bouygues Telecom
• Free Mobile

Hi @littlevic
Following @bristolian & @Schockwave replies above- while you could theoretically be able to download and install an eSIM to your phone while in France, it still wouldn't be possible to activate the eSIM.
During the activation process you're sent a text message to your mobile number with a PIN code. You'd need your previous SIM to be active and working in order to receive the security validation PIN code. As you don't have this, the only option for a working SIM is to request this by calling Customer Service, or pop into any EE store in the UK with valid photo ID, where they can issue you a replacement physical SIM or eSIM QR code to use in your phone.
For security and to prevent fraud it's not possible to remotely activate a SIM card without your previous SIM still available and working.
You can find out more at How do I swap my SIM or get a new SIM?

Hello @littlevic ,
Welcome to the community,
This is not customer service, we have no idea who you are nor do we have access to accounts.
I doubt very much that an ESim can be activated whilst abroad, the same as a physical SIM card cannot, it has to be done in the UK, so you will have to wait until you return to the Uk. Not sure how you accidentally deleted you ESim either.
You will have to request a replacement SIM card or ESim, which you can do via the app, by clicking on the icon at the top of the app and then scrolling down to settings and permissions, click on that, manage settings and then scroll down to Replace my Sim/eSim and do it from there.

A replacement SIM requires core network data-changes, and thus a connection between the UE (user-equipment) and that core network.
WiFi-calling is not supported abroad, and thus the only access layer that can be relied upon is the local radio network - this where the catch-22 element often causes an issue.
There are a few scenarios that are theoretically possible, but do require all dependencies to line-up - and thus subject to "no guarantees". SIM activation abroad is one of them.

Whom or what is "it" that said business, and in what context? A phone has no idea whom or what you are, so any label along those lines should be taken with caution.
I don't use an eSIM, but my understanding is that there should be multiple "are you sure" prompts before an active SIM is irrevocably deleted.

@littlevic sorry, but I was not rude, I just stated the facts, so not sure why you see it as rude, but you still have to activate the SIM card in the UK, so cannot be done when abroad. What made you say that I was rude, have read it again and cannot see it as rude.
