I’ve inserted a new SIM card but no signal

Hello, I inserted a new SIM card that was sent to me by EE my old SIM card is “invalid” or “locked” I tried putting the PUK but it wasn’t unlocking so I put in my new SIM card. The SIM card has no signal so I can’t activate it by sending a code to my number and since I can’t use my number I can’t call EE for help. Any Ideas what might’ve happened?

What was the reason for the new SIM? You've alluded to having blocked your old SIM by multiple incorrect PIN, then PUK, attempts?

Does your phone show any on-screen messages when you insert the SIM?

I was setting up a new phone and accidentally enabled E sim disabling my original SIM card however I couldn’t finish the setup without my number so I couldn’t set up my phone. Then I restarted my phone and the message was sim locked so I put in the correct PUK and Pin and it didn’t unlock even after all my attempts. I removed my original SIM card and now have the new one in my phone but there is no signal and I can’t activate it without a text to my number

Hi @Makena

Welcome to the EE Community

The only option to activate the SIM would be to call Customer Service team from another handset Contact Us | Help & Support | EE

Or you can pop into any EE store with photo ID where they can activate or issue an active SIM for you straight away.
