Hello community,
I changed to EE in the Autumn. I got my PAC code and kept my original phone number. I have discovered that although people can call me on that number and text me on that number when I initiate a text exchange the number originally on the EE sim is displayed to my recipient.
Any idea how I can change this? Your knowledge would be much appreciated.

Hi @Metrohound
If you text NUMBER to 150, does the reply show the correct number?
Are you using a third party app to send texts?
Leanne 🙂

Hello @Leanne_T
Thanks for that. I have sent the text and the reply does give my number. To my knowledge I am not using a third party app.

Thanks for checking @Metrohound
If you go into your device settings, does the correct number show?
Leanne.

Yes it does. No one else has mentioned the number discrepancy to me.
A friend I hadn't contacted in some time had to check who had sent the message because it came up as another number. Could that be to do with her device?

It could be as everything is showing the correct number on your phone and with us @Metrohound
I would ask them to delete your contact details they have saved and set this up again to see if this helps 🙂
Leanne.

Thanks @Leanne, that's worth a go - the advanced version of turn it off and turn it on again 😀
