Has anyone transferred an esim line to the new iPhone 14?

The question says it - has anyone transferred their esim line from an older iPhone to the new iPhone 14 yet? If so, how did you do it? - with a QR code from EE, or using the Apple 'Transfer Line' functionality? I'm waiting for a new iPhone 14 Pro to be delivered (from Apple) and currently have an esim line on an older iPhone.

@KevinStreet111  You say it doesn’t work when you used it a couple years ago to set up your iPhone 12.  This isn’t the same as that as this is a new feature that came with iOS 16.  It’s Bluetooth transfer of the eSim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@JakeRich . It didn’t work as the eSim at present is only available to contract customers.

I am about to run into the same issue - any solution to this? I was going to try using an old iPhone to convert  the sim to esim and use the apple facility to transfer the esim over to the iPhone 14 but have no idea if that will work.

Thanks for coming here, @Porterhouse100.

Are you on pay monthly or pay as you go?

Jon

Exact same problem. Can confirm can not transfer PAYG to esim using old phone. Looking to switch to EE Pay Monthly which apparently does support eSIM.

I have reached out to this community to figure out if I need to physically receive the new SIM card and packaging or will the QR code be available to me immediately after I have signed up.

If you have found a solution to the PAYG issue, please let me know. Cheers.

esim.net and PUK your number over appears to be a good solution. 5G, Wifi calling 20 quid for all you can eat. Reviews are great. I won't sign up until the 2nd Dec but appears to be instant delivery of eSim to inbox.

I would describe my experience as a nightmare. The number transferred, but then I had no signal. Technology so advanced that not even EE could find a remedy to the problem [that persisted for 3 days]. Not great for a freelancer who loses money by the second when she has no way to liaise with her clients! Chose the traditional option for an easy life.

Hi @MingDynasty

I'm very sorry to hear this has happened, is this now sorted for you?

Leanne.

It worked for me, though from the second attempt. To be fair I have poor signal. So if Apple transfer did not work once, you can try again a bit later, just make sure you have good signal. Good Luck !
