EE from O2 but number not porting?

New phone from EE and I was expecting my number to port within 24hrs as per my last couple of experiences doing this with other providers but its now been 72hrs (weekdays)

is this normal with EE?

Messages sent to 150 with PORT and correct PAC code with all relevant replies but nothing so far?

The correct timescale is based on working days, EE tend to port-in the working day following PAC submission, assuming that's during the day.

If you've not received any text confirmation either way, then CS on 150 should be your next port-of-call. Only they have the account access needed to advise further.

Thanks Bristolian. Original request sent Tuesday 2nd Sept with the usual interaction of number requested for porting and then PAC code but heard nothing since. Tried the usual on/off but also didn't work.

Re-requested now through the same method, will see how it goes in next 24hrs

It's not necessarily from when you submit your PAC to EE but within 1 working day of when you activate your EE SIM on the EE network.

Hi @Bisblo

Welcome to the community.

It seems that it's gone past the usual timescales now. I recommend speaking with our Customer Support team so that one of our guides can look into the number port for you.

Hopefully, they can help get it sorted for you.
Chris

Thanks @Christopher_G

It's been almost a week now and still nothing! I'm just going to ring 150 again and see if I can get an update to this problem. Let you know shortly

Right then, no details on what the problem was but 2 texts just received from the EE Port Team stating that number will be ported by 6pm tomorrow 10/09, encouraging!
