EE doesn't recognise its own phone number

Hi everyone

I'm trying to use a PAC code to port my old number to EE.  When I fill in the form, it tells me the EE phone number is not valid - I'm definitely inputting the number they sent me.

Advice appreciated.

Good evening @kphunter.

Welcome to the EE Community 😁

Just to double check here, but is the number you're looking to bring over to your new contract a number that's also on EE, or is this on a totally different network?
PACs are only designed for transfers between different networks, so if it's an EE number this won't be accepted.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply.  I phoned EE, and the helpful young man said the new sim was not activated - and activated it for me.  So it's all sorted and ported now.
