I have an iPhone and I would like to convert to eSIM since I'd like to add another SIM to my phone. I have pay monthly SIM only contract and I wonder if anybody has done it. I wonder if there are any down sides of converting to eSIM.

@hubbycat The only downside is if you have a device issue you can not just put the sim in a different device.
If you want to change it to a eSim you can request this via the EE app. Click the person icon top right then click Settings and Permissions then scroll down to activate sim/eSim. Then follow the on screen instructions for eSim ( eSim digital download)

If you want to change your phone for whatever reason, a physical SIM can be transferred quickly & easily - an eSIM cannot be.
Same goes for fault-finding as to whether a potential issue is device or SIM-related, you have no way of knowing.
