Hi, on Monday I switched from Vodafone to EE. I wanted to keep my contact number which I gave the pac code to maintain it in the EE store and they confirmed if the number I wanted to keep was this and I said yes. Now, I entered the new sim on my phone. I called others and they said that the contact number changed. What do I do because I want to keep the contact number I had with Vodafone onto ee now?

You'll first receive your new phone/SIM on a temporary number to allow activation. When you first switch your new phone on with the EE SIM, it will be active on that temporary number and the PAC will then be submitted.
Providing you do that before approx 4pm on a working weekday, your number will be ported-in the next working day. If you do this later in the day or on a weekend, the PAC will be submitted the next working day, and number ported in the working day after that.
Where in this process are you?

Hi, thank you for replying back. Wednesday morning I entered the new EE sim then I had switched my phone off and switched it back on. Was there something else I was supposed to do to retrieve my old contact number?
If I go to EE store, is there any chance of them sorting it out?

When did you submit your PAC to EE? If it was as part of the sales process, it should have been submitted when you first activated your new SIM, and port-in occur the following working day. If this was yesterday morning, then your port-in should be occurring today.
You should receive text message updates on proposed port-in dates and completion.
EE CS have access to your individual account and can advise further, as to when your PAC was submitted. I would suggest calling them.

I literally gave the PAC code to them in store and then yesterday morning was when I entered the EE sim and then I switched off my phone and switched it back on. So 24 hours have passed and I'm still with a different contact number.

Hi @Eddie59,
Your number is transferred the next working day, rather than within 24 hours.
Have you received any text messages regarding your number transfer yet?

No, there is still no update. Is it best to contact EE and get this sorted?

Hi @Eddie59,
Yes, I'd recommend getting in touch on 150 if you haven't received any texts regarding your number transfer.
They'll be happy to help. 🙂
