I recently moved over to EE. Upon porting my number I had the same issues as @SHowie here: Solved: Old SIM number being used by chat features on messages - The EE Community
However despite turning chat features on and off, and turning the phone on and off, if I now text from my phone with Chat Features turned off then the message is sent/received, but with Chat Features turned on then the message doesn't get sent (no time stamp) or received.
Any thoughts on how to solve this?

It seems to have resolved itself with time, turning the phone, chat and WiFi on and off AND the recipients having to turn their phones on and off too! 🤷♂️

Hi @Oly1,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Have you allowed your messaging app to use mobile data in your settings?

How would I check that please?

This would usually be under mobile data settings, @Oly1.
Check that mobile data is enabled for the messaging app.

I thought that too, but I can only see Mobile Data Only apps there...of which Messages is turned off (like all other apps) and is greyed out (unlike all other apps). I can't get it un-greyed out though

Thanks @Oly1.
I'd recommend getting in touch with our tech care team about this.
They'll be able to run through troubleshooting steps with you to get this working.

I have tbh, I was hoping/ wondering if anyone else has had the same issue, hence the post.
Thanks for trying though 👍
