Changing sim

I recently got a PAC code from vodaphone and purchased a monthly sim to go along side my phone contract with vodaphone. When will my payments start, and is it possible to pick when I start to pay? for example, could I put the sim in on the 6th when I get paid and start paying then? Or will my payments start even before I activate my sim?

Welcome to the Community and great to hear you have joined EE! 

The billing starts from when you receive the SIM card.  It's pre-activated so it's ready to use once you have received it. 

It's best to use your PAC code as soon as possible, if you haven't done so already. 
You can do this using our online form at How do I transfer my number to EE.  

The current payment date can be changed to whatever suits you best. To do this just head over to the EE App or log into your EE account online.

Hi @Ali_A ,

Would it be possible for the Community Support comments on here for this kind of query or even the porting web page to be updated to reflect the Port In Service via texting PORT to 150?

Seems like a much smoother system than the old Web form and gives the customer a timeline for when their port will complete while ensuring their SIM is inserted and fully active for the port to go through. 

Feels like a service that is being massively underutilised by EE as it makes changing over incredibly easy.

texting Port from the EE phone to 150 is a easier way to process the port in. 

I've fed that back to be updated.
