Can't seem to bring old number to EE!?

New customer to EE here... I'm trying my best to try and get my number transferred over to EE

I've tried texting "PORT" to 150 which apparently will then be a 2 step process to complete when i provide my PAC code. This gets no reply texts what so ever.

I've since tried the online form which accepted my PAC code just fine but when it comes to my current EE number and my old number i want to transfer it is saying my number must start with 07 ....

it DOES! But this form simply refuses to let me go any further. Not impressed so far EE...

How can I please bring my old number to EE. This was such a simple task with my old network.

Are you sending this text from your new EE SIM? Sending any text to 150 from an EE SIM should prompt a response, even if it is an error. It  shouldn't go unanswered if the SIM has service and is showing EE. When did you try this and was the SIM showing as connected to the EE network at the time?

The usual advice would be:

Insert your new SIM into a device, text PORT to 150 from your new EE SIM, then you will be asked to enter the number you want to port across and the PAC Code. You should then get a text back telling you when it's expected to port across and just wait for your old SIM to deactivate. Should be quite simple.

If that doesn't work you'll have to ring EE on 150 from the EE SIM and get them to set up the port. But you would have to be extremely unlucky for neither self-serve method to work and get to this point.

The form seems to cause a few headaches with certain number formats and the text process is generally much more smooth.
