Adding another EE SIM and porting my number between them

Team, I want to use a 5G Router with my EE sim. I've got an unlimited plan on a 24 month contract on my current SIM with my phone number. I don't need two unlimited contracts.

Ideally I want to put my current SIM in my router, buy another plan and port my number to it. Am I going to be able to do this?

Cheers

@SoSpecial no that’s not possible,  Your current tariff is for that number so if you move that number to a new SIM card the tariff remains with the number.

You cannot split your number away from your tariff.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

My contract runs out in 3 days time... so I'll have a think whether I stay with EE or not. Thanks for replying... really helps me out!

In this case you could upgrade your SIM to a cheaper SIM Only plan with less data and then add an Unlimited Data SIM, far less complex than what you were proposing.

A 30-day rolling Unlimited SIM with Speeds up to 100 Mbps added on to your account is £23 (£12 discount from £35), or it could be cheaper if you took a longer contract term.

Your minimum term may run out in 3days time, your contract will continue as normal unless you explicitly make a change,
