So a week ago I attempted to move my hubby's phone onto the family account. As part of this we upgraded his and my phones. EE were supposed to Port his number onto the new SIM that came with his phone but the person who did it completely messed up and put it on to my SIM instead of the new one.
As a result my phone number has vanished. His number worked on my phone for 5 days but 2 days ago that stopped working too. So we now have neither mobile number.
I have made countless calls to EE. spoken to various managers of tech support etc (it seems impossible to speak to the number porting dept). Apparently it has got an open ticket with the number porting team and has been escalated and marked as urgent etc but it's still not fixed!
It's causing so many issues and all due to EEs error but I can't seem to get them to sort it out!
Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear there was a problem with your number transfer.
Our number porting team are a back office team who aren't customer facing.
Technical support have done the right thing in raising a ticket and they'll get back to you as soon as it is resolved.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.

Ok - this is getting ridiculous.
It's 2 weeks without my number now and it's causing my so many issues.
I really need the back office to fix this and I can't speak to them and can't even get a time scale.
I don't understand why it should take so long!

I'm sorry to hear this hasn't been resolved yet.
If you haven't received any updates from Technical Support since your last post, I'd recommend giving them a call on 07953 966 150.
