arrived in new york yesterday and couldn’t get any access to my data. my contract (as far as i’m aware) covers data roaming and usage abroad so i didn’t really think into looking at bundles etc before i went however upon arrival i can’t get any. even tried to buy a roaming abroad pass whilst i am here but it keeps saying “we’ve had a oroblem loading this information, try again in a while.”
any help is appreciated

Is it just "data roaming" you don't have access to? While voice call roaming & text message roaming are OK?
Or that you can't get access to any US networks, therefore cannot roam at all?

@eethwd : Can you make calls & texts?
Are you on contract or PAYG? Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad?
If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.
Otherwise you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

First thing to check is if you have roaming services activated- Do you pick up any signal on your phone at all?
If so can you make calls or receive any text messages?
