Did a search found nothing in relation to my question below.

To avoid data charges when i am abroad I wnat to know what will happen If I divert all calls to +447953222222 before i leave the UK and have iphone visual voicemail enabled but with data roaming disabled? Will i be able to receive any visual voicemails left when i connect to WiFi and will it be free to listen to them on my iPhone as I wont be calling my voicemail as they just download

@wenklaw   Visual voicemail is a network cellular feature, not a Wi-Fi feature and how will your device pickup the visual voicemail?  And Wi-Fi calling doesn’t work abroad.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

If visual voicemail only works via cellular data that’s answered my question. A big fat no to retrieving abroad via WiFi data, shame as can’t really see why it shouldn’t work but it’s what it is. I had actually come to the same conclusion through turning cellular data off and leaving a message, didn’t get it until I turned cellular data back on.

I know WiFi calling doesn’t work abroad although in the past i could get it to work via a VPN sat on a NAS box turning off cellular service etc..  I digress!! No real need as what’s app, FaceTime etc all work fine abroad.  I know it’s against T&C anyway and EE could bill you for roaming etc
