I've had my ee contract for many years. We pay £8 per month for four mobiles and this is sufficient. Occasionally we buy the abroad add on. But today I have learned I have used 80% of my data. The text is genuine. I've looked on line and indeed I have used lots of data. I do not use significant data. The only thing I can think of is that we went to Greece returning on 29th September and I had turned off my data roaming to avoid using the mobile abroad (we relied upon my husbands phone) and I have found that I hadnt turned it back on. Would this cause data usage to be high?
I am mostly at home. I dont game. What's going on?
Thank you

Apple & Android phones have data counters that itemise data usage app-by-app and also break it down between WiFi & mobile. You can synch the counting period to match your bill cycle.
This often aids investigations such as this.

Good morning @Paperlady66.
Welcome to the EE Community, and I hope you enjoyed your trip to Greece as well.
When it comes to data usage there are a couple of different factors we need to take into account; for example do you know how much data you receive on this number each month?
If you'd disabled data roaming when you were away this would have ensured that no data was used, but it doesn't block usage once you're back in the UK.
What model of phone is it you're using too, as like @bristolian mentioned there are ways you can check what may be the main culprit.
