Hello
We travel to UAE on Friday for two weeks. I can’t find an option to use my data or see something up for the two weeks. I did read on a forum post from over 2 years ago it has to be activated before leaving the UK.
Any guidance would be so helpful.

If you are on contract, you may use your usual UK allowances outside the EU with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more, when you buy the Zone 1 Pass for £5 / day or £25 / week or already have it as an Inclusive Extra. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/unitedarabemirates.
If you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.
If you are on PAYG, just make sure you had already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.

Text ROAMING to 150 and then GOING in response to the next message. This should enable worldwide roaming so that you can connect to foreign networks. Then when you land you should receive a welcome text message to choose one of the plans to use your phone there.
