Roaming refresh/Free roaming removal - Full Works Plan (after Aug 2024)

I am looking to update my sim-only deal to one of the new Full Works plans. Roaming is important to me, I also need to be able to roam in the USA. I currently have the roam abroad/further pass as a free inclusive extra (2023 all rounder tariff) so I can roam freely in the EU, USA, AUS etc..

I am reading a lot about EE making significant roaming changes next week, with all the different legacy tariffs and previous add-ons its a minefield.

Can someone from EE confirm with certainty, how the new 2024 Full Works tariffs (which include roaming, and roam further as default) will be effected by this change?

Will we benefit from added counties being free to roam in, or be stripped of the benefit. This information must be known to EE, as it goes live next week!

Another concern is being excluded form other new roaming features which may not be widely publicised, in the same was as 5G SA was locked off to existing customers. Example - VoLTE is still not officially supported by EE abroad in most countries, other networks offer this, could this be added and exclude existing customers.

Hi @Damienw1

I don't have an update yet, but if you feel you aren't benefitting from your current plan, I'd recommend speaking to one of our guides on 150 to see if there's a plan to better suit your needs.

Hello,

I have had the experience of using the new ROW zone 1 pass when it was implemented back in December 8, 2024. I was asked to buy a pass for DUBAI in new full works plan whereas my old full works and all rounder the zone 1 pass worked immediately.

It's been more than a month and the stark silence from EE points that it might never come at all to the  new full works plan.

I am not changing my old full works or all rounder anytime soon.

Furthermore, EE introduced two separate passes for roaming in old plan with inclusive extra. One for EU roaming and another one for ROW zone 1 roaming as said before in the roaming refresh website.

Also, the mixed responses that we got earlier, probably not true.

Hope someone form EE can clarify the questions.

Thank you.

Exactly. And the worst thing is ee haven't even opened up the Row1 pass as an inclusive extra on full works plans so the top tier plan is at the most disadvantage.

Something clearly needs sorting out

Hi @Christopher_G

Any further updates on this?

It is almost 2 months later and im sure we would all appreciate the clarity on whether these plans are still being worked on.

Hi @Matt_124

No updates on this yet. We'll share anything concrete here on this thread, when we get it.

Can it be suggested that Full works customers are given access to the pass as an inclusive extra? As while not ideal at least it would be an option as frankly after 2 months I can't see it happening.

Full Works are still at a disadvantage over lower tier plans that can at least select it as an extra.

Very strange move from ee to penalise people on the top plan like this

I think the fairest thing would be allow people on Full Works plans refunds on any ROW1 pass they have to buy in the meantime until EE integrate it into the plans - seeing as this is the intention eventually…?

I doubt it is to be honest think we've been told what we want to hear

Is there a reason for the delay? O2 have their Ultimate plans, Three PAYG offers roaming in many countries and Vodafone has its extended roaming package which leaves EE playing catch up for once. It's odd that this roaming package is not included with the top tier plans  Is EE going to launch its own Ultimate plans? That's my guess.

, so I was just looking at my addons today and if you are on full works and you go to the roam further pass, it now says you can use your minutes, text and data in EU and rest of the world. However if you text roaming to 150 and for instance put in Turkey, it still states that you will be charged?
