Today I have received the following test message from EE:
Hi from EE. Weve recently made some changes to our Roaming Inclusive Extras. You can select either EU roaming or our new Zone 1 option which covers 33 popular destinations. For now we'll apply the EU option as your inclsuive extra and send you a text to confirm when this change happens. Head to the EE app or text PICK to 150 to switch inclusive extras.
So am I to assume my current roam abroad pass that gives me inclusive data and minutes in USA etc and the EU is no longer in force and that I have to select between EU and Zone 1 every 30 days. I took this account out because I often travel between both EU and Zone 1 in the same month.
No one I have spoken to is addressing my concerns clearly so I have absolutely no idea where I stand.
My package was purchased 9/5/23 all rnd sim 125gb and i have never changed it.
Can someone advise as i will need to move providers asap as i have multiple trips coming up.

Only you can decide whether you need to switch providers. That EE text spells out what your current situation with EE is.

Hi @allyhyne
You can always upgrade your plan to one which includes these benefits. EE has some good SIM only plans.
Thanks

I’ve received the same message and it’s left me completely confused. I’m about to travel to the States, but when I tried to follow the instructions on the text, I didn’t get anywhere. I’ll drop into my local EE store tomorrow to see if they can wade through it. If not, I’ll have to resort to an e-sim. It’s most annoying.

Yes I agree that Ee Needs to do a better job in communication in this roll out. I don’t understand why they have to split EU and Zone 1 coverage, if customers have access to both, then why have to choose? Even if they have to choose, why can’t they switch in app on their own? Easier, less admin to call Ee Every time either. Guess people who go to the US/ Zone 1 countries do some times go to EU within the same month too.
