Phone suddenly giving raoming charges?

Posted in the wrong section, sorry!

Hello, as above: despite being in the UK and having a plan that involves unlimited UK calls and texts, my phone has started giving me roaming charges for calling people (who are also in the UK). I have tried calling EE, but the call drops off immediately. I can't see anything on my bill that shows a problem?

Any idea what's going on?

@Urbenmyth  Where about’s are you in the UK ?   Because if you’re are near a coastline your device just might be picking up a roaming network hence roaming charges.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Sheffield, so not too close to the coast?

I think what happened though, on further examination, is that a number I thought was in the UK wasn't? And that's what happened? But I'm not sure.

(Also sorry for the accidental solution!)

You mean you dialled a non-UK no. thinking it was in UK? Like an IOM no. that looks like a UK no. That would incur International call ,not roaming, charges,

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

What makes you think your phone has started giving roaming charges, if you can't see anything on your bill?

It's your bill where charges are listed. Feel free to post a screenshot or photo of what you've seen, if it would help.
