More Confusion Re Charges For Using Phone Abroad????????

CG61
Visitor

Hello, I am shortly going to Italy for a month, I texted ROAMING to 150 and got the message Great News! my phone is all set up to Roam in Italy and to use my allowances as I would at home the charges are:-  £2.47 per day (24 Hours)

Why is this? I am a pay monthly customer and surely to use my plan as if I was at home.....it shouldn't cost me anything! (Unless I go over my allowances) or am I interpreting things wrong?

Any help appreciated.

@CG61  You can not just use allowances abroad there is a charge if you don’t have roaming as part of your contract.  Texting roaming to 150 just enables your device to be able to connect to a roaming network.   You might want to read THIS

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
