Hi,

I'm currently on a cruise and want to be able to use the 'Cellular at Sea' network for any emergency calls i May recieve. I have tried to connect to this network without any luck. I have texted 150 before i left and made sure worldwide roaming was enabled. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi Katie.

I know people on vodafone Uk can connect but people on O2 cant either. I dont have a spend cap active either. I did ask cs before i came away and was told it should work fine when I'm at sea

Hi @bdg051

Do you have access to Skype to call our customer care team?

I'd recommend contacting our technical care team who can complete a further diagnostics.

Hi,

Never managed to get it working in the end. They did a reset of my network settings on their end and it worked for a bit but never worked after that. It was also very patchy and expensive to use so honestly not worth it. Your best waiting til you get to land or buying the wifi on the ship

Thanks. I mostly need it to receive those "2-factor authentication" SMS
messages that are so prevalent these days.

SMS are sent via the mobile network, thus need mobile network access to receive. That can either be via your home network or a roaming network.

WiFi-calling is the only way to receive those texts if you're not using the mobile network, and that is not supported abroad. It might sometimes work, but comes with no guarantees.
