Hello
Wondering whether anyone has had this problem or has a solution. I have an EE contract with roaming enabled. I have always been able to connect in other countries. I went on a cruise with P&O who have the network Telenor Maritime network available and others were able to connect to it. According to EEs guides I should be able to connect to it but it won't connect automatically and if I try connect manually it says "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network.".
I have tried restarting, I have roaming enabled (and it works in other countries) and I have a £30 spend cap so there is a lot of room for it.
Does anyone have any ideas? Would a new SIM solve it? I'm unable to test it until I'm on another cruise in a couple of months, but obviously it is too late then!
I'm aware they are expensive but wanted it available in case of emergencies.
Thanks
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Derbyshire_lad.
Thanks for confirming.
I'd recommend getting in touch with our customer care team to ensure your account is set up for World Wide Roaming rather than just EU roaming.
This may be stopping you from connecting to a Maritime network.

Were those other users, EE customers? Appreciate you can't ask in hindsight, but this question is pretty fundamental to be able to reliably answer.

They were not unfortunately but it did suggest that the network was working, albeit for other network customers.

Hi @Derbyshire_lad.
Thanks for getting back to us.
Are you aware if you have already spent outside of your allowance?
When did you last successfully connect to an international network?

Hi Katie,
I hadn't used any of my allowance at the start and certainly had a lot left at the end of the week. My phone was able to connect to EU networks in three different countries when I was close enough to shore so did connect the days before and after the issue.
Thanks
