Loss of inclusive roaming

I’m currently on a full works pay monthly which has inclusive roaming. Just got a text saying that the roaming plans are changing and it looks like they’ll now be chargeable.

Is this correct?

Hey @Matt_124 😊

Seeing there are a few different options available with inclusive roaming following our tariff refresh, we'd recommend any customers get in touch with our customer care team directly once the new products have launched.

That way we can check your account and plan and say for sure on what you have included.

I don't quite know how EE thinks "roaming is getting better" given what I'm on now, albeit contract free at this point, has the US and EU roaming inclusive.  The best I can see, it's a near 50% uptick in a plan to maybe get the same features. That's better how exactly?  What incentive do I have to stick with EE?  Zero...

Don’t worry everyone on the full Work pass this has been implemented to mess over people like me who pay £25 a month when I’m Travel to the USA so that I can use my phone here. They’ve done this to now either force me to switch over to the more expensive plan which you guys are on to pay £100 a month to use my phone in the US. Their service was very rude when I spoke to them and I will be swiftly leaving EE as soon as I can. Absolutely deplorable that they send a message saying roaming is getting better whilst meaning anyone who is currently paying the Add on pass will be now charged an extortionate amount.

I had same text message, out of contract rolling and has inclusive eu roaming.

EE text me to say they are improving the service by charging me £2.50 day extra in europe for nothing better. That's on top of raising the prices yearly and offering small data packages.

They must think we are complete idiots.

I've been with them for probably 10 years, and have now moved to O2. Worked out 30% cheaper, got x10 more data on my plan and eu roaming for free.

Good work EE!

Hi Francois. Our new roaming products will be launched on 4 December 2024.

Your current roaming products will be removed from 6 December 2024. We will send you a text to confirm when this has happened.

You can continue using your current roaming products until then, but to learn more about our new roaming services, visit https://discover.ee.co.uk/L2H5M693

If you're travelling now, you can find out more about our existing roaming products by texting ROAMING to 150.

I’ll try asking again..

Read the Travel Data Pass Terms and Conditions” contains no hyperlink, so there are no T&Cs to read.

Can someone from EE share the new T&Cs please?

Hi there @neonlemon.

Please keep an eye on your texts and we'll let you know closer to the change about the options that will be available once the new options go live.

This should also let you know when the existing inclusive extra you have active will expire too.

Hi all,

I changed my inclusive extra on 22/11/24 from Apple Music to Roam Abroad Pass as I am going to the US on 28/11/24. I then received the following text:

"Hi from EE. You've made your travel more simple with the Roam Abroad Pass Inclusive Extra. You can use your UK allowances while abroad in the EU, USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. From 4 December, we won't offer this add-on anymore, so once it's been removed, you'll need to choose something else. We'll text you nearer the time with your options."

Am I right in reading that halfway through my 2 weeks on holiday, the Roam Abroad Pass will stop working and I will have to pay roaming charges? Or does it mean that once I remove the Roam Abroad Pass when I return home, it will no longer be available?

Also, "We'll text you nearer the time with your options." Nearer the time? It's in 9 days.

Thanks.

@nickofjones  That’s exactly how I’m ready it as well.  On the 4th it’ll be removed automatically.
