Just moved from contract to Pay as you go from Switzerland

Just recently moved to Switzerland and had my contract converted to a pay as you Go. It was supposed to change over on 11 th of this month. I  am in Switzerland and can no longer call anyone in UK including 150. According to my bill I should pay by direct debit on 19th of this month. But I had specifically requested that this not be the case. How can I contact someone at EE to get further clarification. Is there an email address?

Thanks in advance to all replies.

@Apres23 : When was your SIM moved to PAYG? It takes 30 days notice to cancel a contract & before it is moved to PAYG. Had that change taken place while abroad you can't now use it at all while abroad. To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

EE provide no email contact. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thank you - why is this not made clear at the time of moving??

If it's any consolation, you're not the first to ask this and I doubt you'll be the last.

You'd have to register a formal complaint and/or put in a DSAR for the CS call recordings, depending how much you want that question answered.

I called the 07953966150 number and spoke with a helpful person who went by the name of Ade.  He told me that my pay as go service needs to activated  by choosing a plan (here are a few Pay as you go options). Once chosen he activated this plan. However in order to call the UK, I would need additional roaming top ups. There is currently one for £10 which lasts a week and one for £2.50 which allows me a day in which to make UK calls. Just one word of warning this phone call lasted nearly an hour while he sorted stuff out - expensive call!

I hope this is useful to anyone else in my situation.
