We are in NZ. The phone and text service has completely stopped for the last three days. EE Tech support are literally unreachable because of above. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

Did they ever work in NZ before the last three days?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi,

I assume your data connection is alright.

I have the same problem currently in Albania while roaming.

I have data connection. Text is working fine as well but not the call.

I contacted EE from overseas via different IP phone. One guy took 40 minutes did not solve the problem.

After 2 days contacted again, this time 1 hour over phone and they confirmed there is a known fault in the system and they don’t know when there will be a probable fix.

The irony is before travelling, I called and confirmed everything is in order and it didn’t work as it should.

The issue is EE knows there is a problem, selling the plan and don’t even know when it will be fixed.

Also, they don’t have any email communication channel, which I think another obstacle to solve any problem at all.

It seems that it’s time to leave this so called best network in a row for 11 years.

If you can, put a complaint online and ask for email communication where you will be updated.

Thank you.

In cases where roaming has previously worked but subsequently has issues, one common suggestion is to try manually selecting an alternative local network and trying each one in turn. Most of the time, auto-selection works well but it cannot always take account of network-specific issues.

Ultimately, you are at the mercy of local network service when roaming, and the best troubleshooting is always that of having had working service previously, and only the network/country has changed.

No major UK MNO has an email comms channel into CS, VF & O2 have also closed their online forum in recent months. Live chat is available via the myEE app, otherwise for time-critical issues - calling in would require the use of an alternative phone.
