If you've not done so already, try manually selecting an alternative local network.

Are the symptoms still the same?

It is well publicised in the News that there is a major intermittent power supply issue in the Iberian peninsula. This will obviously affect the local mobile networks. There is nowt EE can do to help there. Contact your local council (conselho) & find out what they are doing about it.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

We are assuming it's to do with the power outage, but if @Ianwilliams2 is able to receive calls and has data working (I might be wrong), it could be as well the roaming issue affecting others in the EU (hence my previous reply).

Still cannot make or receive from Portugal now been 3 days therefore cannot call 150 or the mobile they provide cannot message the number

I pay for roaming

No email address apparently

Found somewhere on their website to escalate

Planning a road trip will now have to get a mobile sim for Portugal provider

Really poor ee

Hi @Ianwilliams2

Thanks for keeping updated.

I have sent you a private message.

Katie

There's a couple of misconceptions in this latest post.

No-one pays for roaming, the facility to use your phone on foreign networks is free-of-charge. What you might pay for is a billing add-on to reduce the cost of doing so. This difference needs to be highlighted, to reduce the number of users who travel abroad having "paid for roaming" but without enabling the free facility to roam.

EE-CS indeed don't have any customer-facing email. Neither do the other UK networks. If you're desperate to contact EE directly for an update on your issues, and you have a working internet connection, you can contact them via a  web-calling app  on +44 800 9566000

It's entirely possible the issues are with third parties and thus not under EE's direct control.

Many thanks for your reply. It’s taken me 2days to get a number. I could have been stranded on a foreign motorway and not been able to make a call. Please make the number you have just provided more prominent in the event of emergencies
