Full Works Roaming Zone 1

I'm sorry if this is a commonly answered question, I'm just confused as I've been given advice from EE that seems contrary to what l've since read online.

I'm travelling to Australia for around a year. I will be out of the UK the whole time. Today I phoned EE to adjust my contract to sim only. I wanted a cheap sim contract that would ensure I kept my number and then i intend to get an Australian eSIM for data.

The person that took my call advised me that the best thing to do would be to buy a Full Works sim because I would have unlimited data and could use free roaming for the entire time I was away in zone one. I said I would think about it.

I've since done research and found out about Stable Link. Surely this will affect me on my year away? Was the staff member mistaken, or is Full Works the way forward for me?

Sorry, typo! Having Full Works plan or any plan covering your roaming costs does NOT exempt you from the Stable Link policy.

Yes, it will! Having Full Works plan or any plan covering your roaming costs does exempt you from the Stable Link policy.

The Stable Link FUP while roaming requires you to not use your allowances for more than 2 months while abroad in any 4 month period in order to benefit from EE's roaming plans..

I’m sorry, I must be misunderstanding. Do your two paragraphs not contradict each other? I’ll be exempt but I’ll still need to not use my allowance for 2 months out of 4?
