Excessive Mobile Data Usage Apple - Abroad data options

I am seeing excessive mobile service usage for Apple iTunes Media Services, even though all my settings restrict music content and background refresh when on mobile data.

I will be visiting Central America next month and would like to understand which data add-on I can use to control my costs while still maintaining roaming access. I did try using an E-SIM provider on one of my last visits, but this is an additional hassle and still doesn't mitigate the issue. 

Anyone experiencing the same challenges?

@Prog-Master : Diff countries in Central America have diff roaming charges. Look them up @ Roaming Costs according to your plan.

If you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before leaving UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your no.

If you are on PAYG, just make sure you had already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.
