Eu roaming inclusive extra and full roaming

So I called EE today and I wasn’t sure what to do as I never really go abroad that much. So I have the choice to change my inclusive extra and it isn’t letting me but also that when I look on the app it says I’m using full roaming and I have a WiFi boost but will this work for France and will I have to turn my data roaming off on my settings as the guy in the phone wasn’t really helpful but neither was anyone in the shop. I know this is a long shot for a reply but by the time the call line open I will already be in France tomorrow morning. I know I’ve left this late but this is my first time I have moved of my old contract from a family one to a personal contract. Please could someone help me majorly and I’m worried I’m going to be charged a lot because my inclusive extra won’t change and I asked on the phone should I change it now or tonight and the guy said change it tonight it will work but I can’t change it over. Here’s me worrying and not getting a straight answer worried I’m going to be charged a fortune. So if someone could help me please.

Hi @GracierClark

Welcome to our community.

I can see you have quite a few concerns so I'll try and address them in order.

I imagine you will have landed in France now, have you had a landing text as that should advise you if you are covered and have the right add on in place?

Full roaming refers to your ability to roam and not what is included in your plan. This means your phone is set up for roaming at an account level. WiFi boost is for hotspots in the UK so wouldn't be applicable in France.

You do not have to turn your data roaming off as you can only access data abroad if you have a pass active so you cannot accidentally run up charges.

Hope you are sorted but let me know if not 🙂
